Today we'd like to give you an insider's look to how we planned this beautiful baby's newborn session from start to finish!
We always begin our planning at the design consultation. These can be done in person or virtually depending on your location and availability. At the consultation, we review your interior decor, style, and color preferences. If we are virtual, we will get a peek into the nursery design and the designs of your other rooms inside your home. This helps us to determine what medium of wall art would be most suitable for you home. This is where we also will select the color palate and feel for your session. For this baby girl, we chose pinks, golds, a hit of yellows, and a really fresh feeling to match her nursery.
We also review the ONE image you do not want to miss for your session. For this mama, it was the image shown above - we call it the boho moon set up. This helps us to set up the session's workflow and do the must have images first!
This particular session was our Wrapped only session with the add on for this pose for this specific image. We always customize our sessions to be unique to the client so even though most set ups were wrapped, this pose was most important and incorporated it into the session. Our wrapped sessions are usually 1-2 hours in duration and involve a variety of prop set ups. About 2-3 weeks after your session, we hold your image reveal where we watch a video of your session and select all of your favorite images to design your collection! A collection is a combination of wall artwork, digital files, and your favorite album. Most clients select our acrylic wall piece, which looks like it is printed on glass. It's clean lines and styles look perfect in both a traditionally styled home or more modern decor style. Our matching 12x12 album is also one of our most frequent selections in the collection and is a client favorite every time!
